Support

Our level of support and sense of responsibility is one of the main reasons our clients return to us again and again. Unlike many hosting companies we respond quickly (within an hour) to email support questions during office hours (UK) outside these hours we may be a little slower in responding.

We can only provide support for:

  • Connection problems to your web site
  • Email server problems
  • Dial up connections

We cannot provide support in the following areas:

  • General coding problems
  • Configuration and use of FTP clients, FrontPage, Dreamweaver etc. These topics are normally covered in great detail in the vendors help files and printed manuals

Many questions may be answered by our General FAQ page - please visit this section before calling us. If your question remains unanswered please email support@wisshost.com. We can only accept email support if the questions aren't answered in our FAQ.

Your enquiry or problem will be dealt with quickly and efficiently. Our support staff are responsive, knowledgeable and very patient and helpful at all times.

However, if the problem is urgent please call us immediately on 0870 4329478 but please ONLY use this number is cases of emergency only.


If your problem is related to a specific component, please visit our 'Components' page where there are links available to knowledge bases, which may provide a solution.


Before calling or email support, please have the following details available. 
It always helps us solve your problem quickly if you give us a detailed description of the problem.

If you have problems accessing your website:

Please provide us the account name and number, domain name, IP address, user name & password you are attempting to use.

Script problems:

If a script has stopped working, please provide the exact URL and any error message you may be getting. Please remember we cannot deal with scripting issues that are specific to a site.

DSN (Data Source Name) set up:

We no longer support system DSN's. Instead, we encourage clients to adopt DSN-less connection strings, these are more flexible and work just as well as a system DSN.

Email problems:

If you have problems configuring your email, please have your account details available.
